Liv Berger, founder of Tiny Dragon Photography

Dance photography blends my two biggest passions in life. Can you guess what they are?

Before I became the owner of two photography brands and a studio, I was a dancer. Starting at just five years old, my love of classical ballet blossomed. As I got older I decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in dance where I studied everything from Contemporary, Jazz, African and more from UC Irvine in California. My emphasis was in choreography so I also became skilled at direction and posing of my dancers.

After college, I moved to Chicago, where I worked in-house with the prestigious Hubbard Street Dance Company before opening my own Pilates and wellness studio, Body Endeavors which I ran for 15 years.

In 2014, my family moved from Chicago to Colorado, and I began a new career in photography (which I love!). Yet I never lost my devotion to dance. I still take classes whenever I can, and I leap at the chance to photograph other dancers and dance schools.
